Key Qualifications:
- Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certification, or equivalent, with a score of 4.0 or higher
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and comprehensive understanding of Deaf culture
- Experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and fostering an inclusive classroom experience
Position Highlights:
- Multiple openings: 5 positions available
- Both part-time and full-time schedules offered to fit your needs
- Serve as a bridge for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, facilitating classroom communication
- Hours range from 6.25 to 7.25 per day, depending on assigned school site
- Interpret classroom instruction, student-to-student interactions, school events, and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with educational teams to adapt materials and resources as necessary
- Uphold confidentiality and professional boundaries in all interactions
- Contribute to IEP meetings and progress reviews as needed
