Qualifications:
- Licensed with the Kansas Commission on Deaf/Hard of Hearing (KCDHH)
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience in school environments preferred
- Patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one sign language interpretation for a 4th-grade student new to ASL
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and related service providers
- Support the student’s learning, social integration, and participation in school activities
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in interpreting
- Potential to extend assignment for Extended School Year (ESY) services
