What We’re Looking For:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Current EIPA score of 3.0 or higher
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in a school setting
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in an educational environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and dedication to supporting a single student for the entirety of the assignment
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing 1:1 ASL interpretation for a student during all parts of the school day
- Facilitating clear communication between the student, peers, and school staff
- Supporting classroom activities, assignments, and social interaction
- Collaborating with teachers and support personnel to best meet the student’s needs
- Promoting independence while ensuring access to instruction and campus resources
This assignment begins as soon as possible and will run through May 28, 2027, following standard school hours for a total of 35 hours per week. As a valued interpreter, you’ll cultivate strong relationships while seeing the positive difference you make daily.
