Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience providing 1:1 interpreting services, ideally in pediatric or school settings
- Familiarity with virtual interpreting platforms and technology

- Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to student needs

Responsibilities:
- Deliver full-time, real-time interpreting services for a single student throughout the normal school year in a virtual classroom environment
- Assist in both academic and extracurricular activities as needed, ensuring equal participation and access
- Accurately interpret spoken language, instructions, lessons, and peer interactions to ASL (and vice versa)
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in accordance with ethical standards
- Collaborate with educators and support teams to adapt communication methods for optimum student engagement
- Monitor student understanding and communicate observations regarding student progress or concerns to the appropriate school staff
