Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated fluency.
- Previous experience interpreting in educational, especially pediatric, environments is strongly preferred.
- Compliance with state and national certification requirements for educational interpreters.
- Comfort with virtual interpreting platforms and adapting communication for remote delivery.
- Commitment to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards in school-based interpreting.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with teachers, therapists, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one sign language interpretation for a designated student during virtual classes and school activities.
