The student attends full-time general education classes, receiving individualized instruction for math and reading from an intervention specialist and support from occupational therapy (OT) and speech-language pathology (SLP) professionals.

Qualifications:
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) with relevant interpreter credentials or certification
- Experience serving students in educational settings, preferably at the elementary level
- Knowledge of total communication approaches and familiarity with cochlear implant technology
- Ability to effectively collaborate with general education teachers, intervention specialists, and therapy staff
- Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
- Professionalism, reliability, and positivity
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction, peer interactions, and all school activities for the student
- Adapt signing to suit the student’s communication preferences and needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to ensure alignment in communication strategies
