Required Qualifications:
- State educator certification
- Minimum score of 75% on the EIPA written exam
- Either a 4.0 or higher on the EIPA Performance Test or an active NIC credential from RID
- Strong command of American Sign Language and educational interpreting protocols
- Reliability and professionalism in maintaining confidentiality and supporting IEP goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation in the classroom, facilitating seamless communication for the assigned student
- Work up to 37.5 hours per week (8:00 AM – 3:30 PM) in coordination with the school day
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administration to adapt content and clarify communication as needed
- Implement feedback from educational teams to optimize student participation
- Maintain documentation in alignment with school policies and compliance standards
