Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Williamsport, MD

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Educator Certification
- Minimum score of 75% on the EIPA written test
- Either an EIPA performance score of 4.0 or higher, or an active NIC from RID
- Previous experience in an educational environment preferred
- Strong commitment to facilitating student learning and engagement
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a school team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interpreting services for a high school male student in all educational settings
- Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers to ensure full access to the curriculum and activities
- Adapt interpreting style to meet individual student needs and varying classroom environments
- Assist educators in understanding Deaf and Hard of Hearing culture and communication considerations
- Maintain confidentiality in all student and school matters
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development as necessary
