Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Demonstrated proficiency as a sign language interpreter (schools experience strongly preferred)
- School psychologist certification and background are advantageous
- Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 required
- Experience supporting elementary-aged children
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude toward unique, individualized student care
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one interpreting services or psychological support to a designated early elementary student
- Facilitate clear, effective communication between student, classroom teachers, and peers
- Adapt to the evolving needs of the student as further details are provided
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions
- Actively participate in IEP or team meetings as needed
