Qualifications:
- Valid Sign Language Interpreter certification
- EIPA Score of 3.5 or higher required
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Previous experience supporting students with sign language needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- School Psychologist experience beneficial, but not required for interpreter roles
Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate, effective sign language interpretation for a single elementary student throughout the school day
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure inclusive access to curriculum and activities
- Support the student’s social, academic, and emotional development
- Adapt interpreting techniques to various educational settings
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Fully onsite presence—remote or VOCO work is not available for this role
