Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience
- Certification such as EIPA, RID, or state licensure preferred
- Previous experience working in a K-12 education setting is highly valued
- Ability to adapt communication style to meet varying student needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to student confidentiality and success
- Must be available to work full-time onsite (virtual options are not available)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the communication bridge for students between classroom teachers, peers, and other school staff
- Accurately interpret classroom lessons, discussions, and activities in real-time
- Support full access to both academic content and social settings throughout the school day
- Collaborate with educators and special education teams to align on accommodations
- Maintain thorough records of daily assignments and provide feedback as required
