Qualifications:
- Valid EIPA score of at least 3.5
- Proven skills as a Sign Language Interpreter or Teacher for American Sign Language
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to travel between 1-2 nearby school sites (approximately 20 minutes apart)
- Commitment to uphold professional standards of confidentiality, ethics, and student advocacy
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality sign language interpretation for one high school student in both classroom and school activities
- Collaborate closely with teachers, multidisciplinary teams, and families to facilitate accessible communication
- Ensure accurate and effective communication, adapting techniques to meet student needs
- Support educational objectives and contribute to student’s academic and social development
- Attend school sites per assigned schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30am–2:30pm, Friday 7:30am–1:30pm
- Participate in orientation and planning days on September 1st and 2nd prior to the first day of school (September 3rd)
- Fulfill all contracted responsibilities through June 15, 2027
