Desired Qualifications:
- Illinois Sign Language Interpreter License (current or eligible)
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
- Adaptable and flexible to work across multiple school sites as needed
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school activities for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
- Collaborate with educators and staff for student support
- Provide interpreting services in the event of staff absences at different school buildings
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
