School-Based ASL Interpreter
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified ASL Interpreter for the 2026–2027 school year in Silverdale, WA. This onsite position offers the opportunity to support a Deaf or Hard of Hearing student through educational interpreting services in a collaborative school environment.
This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring students have equal access to classroom instruction, school activities, and educational opportunities while working alongside a supportive educational team.
Work Schedule:
32.5 hours per week
Monday–Friday
Onsite only
Qualifications:
Certified Educational Interpreter required
Previous school-based interpreting experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work onsite in Silverdale, WA
Commitment to maintaining professional standards and confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
Provide educational interpreting services for a Deaf or Hard of Hearing student throughout the school day
Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers
Support the student's access to classroom instruction, school activities, and educational materials
Maintain professional standards and confidentiality in accordance with district and state guidelines
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to support student success
Participate in meetings as needed regarding student services and accommodations
Additional Opportunity:
Provide on-call interpreting services for a Deaf staff member during meetings and other work-related activities
Hours for staff support are variable and based on district needs
