Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Sugar Land, Texas

Your proficiency in American Sign Language will help bridge important communication gaps, ensuring the student thrives academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience interpreting in school environments
- Certification or proof of licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Experience facilitating communication for students with hearing devices (Cochlear implants, hearing aids, ALDs) preferred
- Flexibility to work part-time, specifically Fridays, with the potential to substitute on other weekdays as needed
- Ability to work onsite and engage with students and staff
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student-centered support
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide ASL interpretation during instructional periods (excluding lunch, arrival, and dismissal) for one high school student
