Position Summary
We are seeking qualified Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) to provide communication support for students in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in facilitating effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and school staff.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM

Position 2
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Start Date:** ASAP
End Date:** May 20, 2027
Rate: Negotiable
Qualifications & Certifications
Candidates must hold appropriate credentials and approval to provide sign language interpreting services in Illinois. Accepted qualifications include:
EIPA
EIPA score of 3.0–3.4 with Interim Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Approval
BE credentials with ISBE Approval
ISAS credentials with ISBE Approval
CI/CT credentials with ISBE Approval
NIC credentials with ISBE Approval
Responsibilities:
Provide sign language interpretation to support student communication and access to instruction
Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, activities, and school-related interactions
Support an inclusive and accessible learning environment
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with students and school staff
Collaborate with educational staff to support student communication needs
