Desired Qualifications:
- Valid California SLI certification/license required
- Minimum EIPA score of 4.0
- Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting is highly valued
- Proficient in facilitating accessible communication for Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators and families
- Flexibility, adaptability, and compassion in student support
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL), and vice versa, for students and school staff
- Deliver accurate, impartial communication support during classroom instruction and school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and families to ensure student success
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and provides equitable access to educational materials and interactions
- Maintain professional and ethical standards, ensuring student confidentiality
