Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid California SLI certification/license required
  • Minimum EIPA score of 4.0
  • Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting is highly valued
  • Proficient in facilitating accessible communication for Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators and families
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and compassion in student support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL), and vice versa, for students and school staff
  • Deliver accurate, impartial communication support during classroom instruction and school activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and families to ensure student success
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and provides equitable access to educational materials and interactions
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards, ensuring student confidentiality
