Required Qualifications
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (per state and district standards)
- Current CDE Authorization for educational interpreting (required for all interpreters in this setting)
- Ability to provide interpreting services across a full spectrum of needs (mild to severe disabilities, SPED and Gen Ed)
- Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites (itinerant role)
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality sign language interpretation for students and staff in classroom and school settings
- Adapt interpreting techniques to meet varied student needs, including both mild and severe disabilities
- Work collaboratively with educators, support professionals, and families
- Maintain compliance with all relevant education standards and confidentiality requirements
- Travel as needed between multiple school locations
