This itinerant, full-time, full school year role involves working across various school sites and supporting both Special Education and General Education settings. Your impact will directly support students with hearing impairment, helping to foster inclusive classrooms.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDE (Colorado Department of Education) Authorization as an educational Sign Language Interpreter
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required to practice in the state and district)
- Experience in K-12 educational interpreting (mild to severe needs, SPED and Gen Ed)
- Willingness to work onsite across multiple locations; able to adapt to diverse school environments
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction and activities for students with hearing impairments
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff
- Provide support across special education and general education classrooms
- Serve as an itinerant interpreter, traveling to multiple school sites within the district
- Uphold professional, ethical standards as outlined by state and district policy
