Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Arvada, Colorado

Bring your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter to a dynamic educational environment supporting students across a diverse range of settings. This full-time, full school year opportunity is based onsite in the Arvada, CO area and offers the chance to have a meaningful impact with both special education and general education students—serving from mild to severe needs.
As an itinerant interpreter, you’ll travel between multiple school sites, collaborating with educators and supporting effective communication in academic and social settings. Your knowledge and compassion will help foster inclusive learning and empower students to achieve their full potential.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDE Authorization for educational Sign Language Interpreters (required)
- Demonstrated EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- Experience interpreting for K-12 students in both SPED and general education settings
- Familiarity with providing services to a full range of needs, from mild to severe
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to various school site environments and quickly establish rapport
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person sign language interpretation for students and staff across multiple schools
- Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and peers
- Implement best practices to support an inclusive classroom experience
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
- Support students in both academic and extracurricular settings
