Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid CDE Authorization for Sign Language Interpreters (mandatory)
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (requirement for the role)
- Experience interpreting in educational settings across varying grade levels
- Strong knowledge of American Sign Language and familiarity with both SPED and General Education terminology
- Ability to travel between multiple schools within the district
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and accessible learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear, accurate sign language interpretation for students, staff, and families in classroom and school activities
- Adapt interpreting style to accommodate student needs and various learning environments
- Work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and administrators to support communication access
