Key Qualifications:
- Current CDE Authorization required for educational sign language interpreters in Colorado
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (documentation required)
- Proven experience or training in academic sign language interpreting, supporting both SPED and Gen Ed populations
- Comfortable working across several campuses with an itinerant caseload
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, students, and support staff
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver sign language interpreting services in classroom and school-related settings, supporting access for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
- Interpret across a spectrum of student needs and classroom environments—mild to severe
- Foster communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Comply with ethical guidelines and educational regulations
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings as requested
