Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Englewood, Colorado

Key qualifications and experience desired:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Authorization for Educational Sign Language Interpreters (CDE Authorization)
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher—required for compliance and eligibility
- Prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within school settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency in interpreting for a diverse range of student abilities, from general education to special education environments
- Ability to adapt quickly between multiple locations as this is an itinerant position serving several schools
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work alongside teachers, staff, students, and families
Primary responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality sign language interpreting services in educational settings, both in general and special education classrooms
- Facilitating clear and accurate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and support staff
- Traveling between multiple school campuses as scheduled to support a variety of student needs
- Upholding confidentiality and ethical standards in all interpreting assignments
- Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with educators to support students’ individual learning plans
