Key Qualifications:
- Possess one or more of the following: Oklahoma Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST), Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), or Training and Assessment Systems for K-12 Educational Interpreters (TASK 12)
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language with a track record of educational interpreting
- Experience in a school setting, ideally at the high school level, preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide clear, effective sign language interpretation during all classroom lessons and activities for one high school student
- Foster a supportive, accessible classroom atmosphere in alignment with educational goals
- Work closely with educators to prepare, understand lesson content, and adapt to the student’s needs
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all educational and ethical standards for interpreters
