- Prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver interpretation services between students, teachers, and staff in all classroom and school settings
- Provide accurate and effective communication support, ensuring full access to the educational curriculum and activities
- Adapt interpreting approach according to student needs and school context
- Assist with preparation and/or review of materials when needed, ensuring clarity and accessibility
- Uphold all relevant codes of ethics and school policies for interpreters
