Sunbelt Staffing is seeking FIVE onsite and full-time Sign Language Interpreters for the 2026-2027 school year near Chesapeake, VA.
Position Details
August 24, 2026 – June 4, 2027
Full-time, 35 hours per week
Typically assigned to one school site
Caseload and age group based on district needs and candidate preference
Responsibilities
Provide sign language interpreting services for students in educational settings
Facilitate communication between students, staff, and peers
Support student access to instruction and school activities
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
Qualifications
EIPA score of 3.5+ or VQAS Level 3 preferred
Candidates with an EIPA 3.0 or VQAS Level 2 are encouraged to apply if actively working toward higher certification levels
Strong communication and collaboration skills
School-based experience preferred
