Job Title: Educational Sign Language Interpreter
School Year: 2026–2027
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Educational Interpreter to support for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves providing in-person interpreting services to ensure students who are deaf or hard of hearing have full access to instruction and school activities.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday (37.5 hours)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate, real-time interpretation of classroom instruction and school-related communication
Support student access to curriculum, peers, and school staff
Collaborate with teachers and support teams to meet student needs
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
Qualifications:
Completion of an Interpreter Training Program (required)
RID certification and/or EIPA assessment score of 3.5 or higher (required)
VQAS Level 2 or 3
Previous school-based experience preferred
