What we’re looking for:

- Appropriate certifications or licensure to practice as a Sign Language Interpreter in school settings (state requirements may apply)
- Commitment to confidentiality and sensitivity to students’ individual needs
Key responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, effective interpretation between spoken English and ASL for students, teachers, and school staff during classes and activities
- Facilitate equitable participation in academic and extracurricular settings
- Collaborate closely with educators to support students’ educational goals
- Assist in fostering inclusive communication to ensure student engagement and comprehension
- Maintain professionalism, impartiality, and student confidentiality at all times
- Participate in IEP meetings and help monitor student progress as requested
