Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Severna Park, MD

Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid EIPA written score of at least 75% and either a 4.0+ EIPA, or current NIC/RID certification.
- At least two years of recent experience as a professional interpreter.
- Demonstrated success in 1:1 and/or small group educational settings.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, culturally appropriate sign language interpretation for a student in a high school classroom and school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student access to curriculum and extracurriculars.
- Adapt communication to meet varying student needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold ethical standards of interpretation at all times.
- Attend school team meetings and participate in ongoing professional development as needed.
