Key Qualifications:
- Current Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) license or significant American Sign Language (ASL) experience
- Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Active driver’s license
- Comfort working with K-12 students in an educational setting
Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken communication into American Sign Language and/or voice interpret for deaf and hard-of-hearing students across various settings, including classrooms, assemblies, and school functions
- Collaborate with educators and staff to facilitate accessible communication and foster inclusive learning environments
- Support students as an educational partner, advocating for their understanding and participation
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards in every interaction
- Document interpreting activities and student progress as needed
What You’ll Enjoy: This is a full-time contract position (35 hours per week, Monday through Friday) running from August 2026 through May 2027.
