Sign Language Interpreter in Arvada, CO

Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Authorization as an educational sign language interpreter (CDE SLI Authorization required)
- EIPA assessment score of 3.5 or higher (required for eligibility)
- Proven experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings, including both special education (SPED) and general education classrooms
- Commitment to on-site work; remote interpretation is not available for this role
- Adaptable and organized, able to travel between multiple campus locations within the district
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear, accurate American Sign Language interpretation for students, faculty, and staff in a diverse range of classes
- Support both individual and group instructional activities for students with hearing loss
- Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to ensure accommodations are met
- Maintain confidential records and documentation as needed
- Adapt interpreting techniques to meet the unique needs of each assignment, including behavior support or academic modifications
