Sign Language Interpreter in Denver, CO

Make a difference supporting students by using your skills as a Sign Language Interpreter in an engaging, educational setting. This full-time, full school year contract position is based onsite at various schools in the Greenwood Village area. As part of an itinerant team, you’ll play a vital role in fostering an inclusive learning environment for both special education and general education students, ranging from mild to severe needs.
Key Qualifications:
- EIPA score of 3.5 or above is required
- Current CDE Authorization, per state guidelines, is mandatory
- Experience working as an educational Sign Language Interpreter
- Comfortable supporting students across multiple school sites
- Ability to collaborate with educators, service providers, and administrators
- Professional, flexible, and adaptable approach to a variety of classroom settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interpret for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in both general and special education classrooms
- Provide interpretation services during instruction, activities, and school events
- Travel between assigned schools as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting situations
- Communicate with teachers and staff regarding student needs and accommodations
- Support student engagement and participation
