Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Aurora, CO

As you travel between multiple school sites, you’ll provide communication access to students with mild to severe hearing needs, ensuring their inclusion and academic success in a variety of educational contexts. Your role will be vital in bridging the gap between students and staff, facilitating learning and fostering a supportive environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid CDE Authorization as an educational sign language interpreter (required).
- Minimum EIPA score of 3.5; documentation must be provided.
- Experience working in both special education (SPED) and general education (Gen Ed) settings.
- Ability to adapt to itinerant work—flexibility to serve multiple sites throughout the district.
- Professionalism, excellent communication, and collaborative approach with staff, students, and families.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide American Sign Language interpretation for students in classrooms and at school functions.
- Support both group and individualized instruction as directed by educational teams.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment for students with hearing impairments.
- Travel between assigned school locations to meet students’ scheduled needs.
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and support staff regarding students’ communication preferences and academic goals.
