Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- EIPA score of 4.0 or higher (required)
- Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably within elementary school settings
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
- Ability to commit to a full school year assignment (August through May)
- Skilled in 1:1 interpretation and adaptable to onsite-only work
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality sign language interpretation for a single elementary-age student
- Collaborate with educational staff, therapists, and family to support the student’s access to curriculum and school activities
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Assist with fostering an inclusive, accessible classroom environment
