Qualifications & Experience:
- EIPA score of 4.0 or higher is required
- Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably within a school environment
- Expertise working 1:1 with young learners
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive rapport and encourage communication development
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, in-class sign language interpretation services to one elementary-age student
- Facilitate effective communication between the student, peers, teachers, and other staff
- Assist the student in participating fully in classroom activities, discussions, and school events
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all school and district policies
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate with the educational team to assess and meet student needs
- Work exclusively onsite, ensuring consistent in-person support throughout the academic year
