Key Qualifications:
- Valid EIPA score of 4.0 or above required
- Proven expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in a school setting
- Skilled in American Sign Language (ASL) with the ability to interpret in an educational environment
- Experience working one-on-one with children, ideally at the elementary level
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to in-person support; remote or virtual work is not available for this position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver real-time interpretation for a designated elementary student throughout the school day
- Facilitate clear and accurate communication between the student, peers, and staff
- Support the student’s full participation in classroom instruction, activities, and school events
- Collaborate with the student’s educational team to adapt and respond to evolving needs
- Maintain professional standards of confidentiality, ethics, and conduct
This assignment runs from August 6, 2026 to May 27, 2027, aligning with a traditional academic calendar and offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
