As an experienced interpreter, you will work one-on-one with an elementary-aged student, facilitating clear and effective communication to promote educational access. This assignment runs from early August through late May, providing stability for the school year.
Skills & Experience Sought:
- Current EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 4.0 or higher
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and educational interpreting for school-aged students
- Previous experience working with children in educational settings is strongly preferred
- Ability to work exclusively on-site for the entire duration of the contract
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction and discussions, school activities, and student interactions
- Support one elementary student in both academic and extracurricular contexts
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to foster a positive learning environment
- Uphold all professional standards, maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical conduct
