Sign Language Interpreter in Denver, CO

This full-time, full school year role is onsite only and travels between multiple school sites, serving both Special Education (SPED) and General Education classrooms with students ranging from mild to severe support needs.
As an itinerant interpreter, you will play a crucial role in bridging communication, fostering inclusive learning environments, and empowering students to reach their full academic potential. You’ll collaborate with a diverse and dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional educational experiences to every learner.
Desired Qualifications:
- Authorization as an educational Sign Language Interpreter in Colorado (CDE Authorization required)
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- Previous experience interpreting in educational settings for K-12 students
- Familiarity supporting students with a range of needs, including SPED and Gen Ed, mild through severe
- Flexibility and strong organizational skills for working in a dynamic, multi-site role
- Confidence interpreting in both one-on-one and classroom settings
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services between students, staff, and peers to ensure accessible communication for all instructional and school-related activities
- Travel between various schools within the district as an itinerant interpreter
- Collaborate with educational teams to support individualized student growth and inclusion
- Uphold professional standards of confidentiality and ethics at all times
