Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid EIPA of 3.5 or higher is required
- Completion of fingerprinting through OSPI within the past two years is essential
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language interpreting
- Experience in school settings, preferably working directly with students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time sign language interpretation for a designated student in all classroom and school-based activities
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate smooth communication and optimal learning
- Support the student’s engagement in both academic and social situations
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards at all times
- Participate in team meetings regarding the student’s progress and needs
